is AVG virus protection 7.5 stopping?

I use free AVG and I keep getting these messages that say updates will no longer be for 7.5 and I need to upgrade to 8.0.

and I dont think 8.0 is free.

anyone got any info on this?

7.5 will no longer have updates, 8.0 is free and takes about 3 min to upograde, i did it friday
